Nagpur: An 11-year old daughter of a vegetable vendor couple was raped by a young boy when she was alone in her house and when the girl cried in pain, the rape accused scared her by threatening to kill her. The heinous incident took place in Yashodhara Nagar area on Sunday night.
The complainant vegetable vendor, along with her husband, went to market around 4 pm on Sunday for business. The vegetable vendor couple’s 11-year old daughter was alone in house. The accused Deepak Gajanan Shende (22), a neighbour, taking advantage of the situation, entered the girl’s house around 10 pm and raped her. However, when the victimized girl shouted in protest, the rapist accused threatened the girl not to disclose his act to her parents or else he will kill her. However, the awful incident came to the notice of the girl’s parents and she narrated the sordid episode to them. The bewildered mother of the girl approached the Yashodhara Nagar police and registered a case against the accused.
Woman PSI Mandpale, acting on the complaint, booked the accused Deepak Gajanan Shende under Sections 376(2)(I), 506 of IPC read with Sub-Section 4 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act 2012 and probing the matter further.
