It is over a week since the death of Vijay Thawkar, owner of Thawkar jewellers who was killed in his shop by unknown assailants in broad daylight. All search operations conducted till now seem to be futile. Police have pressed in their network of informers who are providing leads of which searches have been conducted in Jalna, Amravati, Chandrapur, Seoni, Chhapara, Jabalpur, Talegaon, Wardha etc. Hudkeshwar Police is under a lot of pressure as there seems to be no headway in the case so far.
Guardian Minister, Shivajirao Moghe, visited Tawkar’s residence and condoled the family. While condemning the incident, Moghe appealed to all Sarafa traders to install CCTV camers in their shops.
