Nagpur: In an audacious act, a pervert youth molested a 16-year old girl and also attacked her with a razor blade in Nandanvan area here on Tuesday night. The accused has been booked.
A resident of Nandanvan the 16-year old girl was returning home around 7.30 pm on Tuesday after collecting some books from her friend’s house. The accused, Gaurav Sonkusre (23), residing in the same area, stalked her and indulged in obscene gestures. As the girl protested the act of the accused Gaurav, he attacked her with a razor blade and inflicted a deep cut in her left hand. Later he fled the spot. The panicky girl reached her home and later registered a case against the accused with Nandanvan police in this connection.
PSI S S Thorat booked the accused Gaurav Sonkusre under Sections 354(D), 324 of the IPC read with Sub-Section 12 of Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act and searching for him.
