University budget amicably passed in Management Council Meeting

The Management Council of Rashtrasant Tukdoji Maharaj Nagpur University passed the University Budget, Audit Report and Annual Report after detailed discussion and deliberations in the house, informed Vice Chancellor (RTMNU), Dr. Vilas Sapkal while briefing the press after the meeting. The budget will now be placed in the Senate for the final nod. VC Vilas Sapkal added that the Convocation date was also discussed and all the Management Council members and administration are of view of holding the Convocation as earliest as possible. The details of the issue surrounding the convocation will be sought out and after proper justification will be placed in the Management Council. Only then will it be sent to Governor’s office for its final nod. The salary of the Control of Examination will be also be regularized and paid from the general fund till the court’s decision comes in this matter. COE’s salary was stopped from last seven months, informed VC Sapkal. He added that lot of student centric provisions have been passed. This will be known only after the Senate meeting Scheduled this month. Recognition of PG teachers has also been approved in the meeting. The norms for the same are that the teacher’s experience, research work, national and international paper presentation and many other norms will be taken into consideration. The Management members Dr. Baban Taywade, D.K. Agrawal, K.C. Deshmukh informed about the various initiatives taken in improving the facilities of University. Some of the recommendations that have been approved are increase in the Ph.D registration and thesis presentation fees, resource generation and self financing in the departments of the University.
