Two separate cases of betrayal of trust and looting of lakhs of rupees

Nagpur: The cases of looting, burglary seem to be rising every day. Lakhs of rupees were looted in two separate cases in the city. Two case of theft in Wadi and Panchpaoli areas have come to fore.

In the first case that has come to fore in Wadi area, the victim identified as Ramnaresh Pal a resident of Ghatkopal-Kadivili, Mumbai has a godown named Sahara New Shop in Suraburdi-Wadhamna. The manager of the godown identified as Ramkumar Ramdas Shukla aged 40 years and a resident of Duttawadi had betrayed the trust of owner of the godown, Ramnaresh Pal and stole the house-hold goods, food-grains and cosmetic goods in all worth Rupees two lakhs fifty thousand (Rs. 2,50,000/-) from the godown. In addition to that the accused had also stolen the in-ward and out-ward register from the godown.

When the victim realized that goods worth Rs. 2, 50,000/- has been stolen, he lodged a complaint with Wadi Police Station. On the basis of the complaint registered by the victim, the Wadi Police Station has registered a case against the accused under section 381 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating further.

In the second case which occurred in Panchpaoli area, the victim identified as Manoj Rai aged 37 years and a resident of Mahalaxmi Nagar, Manewada square had given the contract of affixing Aluminum windows at Rai Ashiyana Apartments situated in Motibagh area to Dada Lonare a resident of Ajni.

The victim had even given pipes of 2147 kilograms for this work. The accused had done work with only pipes of 1155 kilograms only. The accused had allegedly stolen the remaining aluminum pipes of 992.5 kilograms. The stolen aluminum pipes of 992.5 kilograms is said to be worth Rs two lakhs five thousand.
On the basis of the complaint registered by the victim, the Panchpaoli Police Station has registered a case against the accused under section 381 of Indian Penal Code and is investigating further.
