Two goons demand extortion money from Lakadganj teenager with life threat

Nagpur: In an audacious act, two criminals demanded extortion money of Rs 25,000 from a 17-year old boy and threatened to kill him if he failed to meet their demand. The incident occurred in Lakadganj area on Monday.

The teenager Chirag Ramkrishna Barapatre (17), resident of Qr No. A/10, Tulsinagar Colony, Shantinagar, was standing near Tidke Sabhagruha in Kawarapeth at about 6 pm on Monday. At the same time the two goons Ayub Munawar Hussain and Wasim, both residents of Kawarapeth, accosted Chirag and demanded extortion money of Rs 25,000. The accused goons issued an ultimatum to Chirag of handing over the money by 11 am of Tuesday (Oct 13).

Else he will be killed. Scared by the extortion money demand and the life threat, Chirag immediately lodged a complaint with Lakadganj police.

Assistant Police Inspector A S Muley, acting on the complaint, has registered a case against the accused Ayub Munawar Hussain and Wasim under Sections 386, 34 of IPC and mounted a search to nab them.
