It may be mentioned here that earlier the developmental works worth Rs 8667.67 lakhs were sanctioned under Infra-II project in Nagpur district. Now, after inclusion of Mr  Bawankule’s four newly ordered sub-stations in the development works, the enhanced expenditure is estimated to the tune of  Rs 11773.45 lakhs.
The newly sanctioned four new sub-stations of 33 KV capacity each will be installed at Besa, Koradi Devi Mandir, Mahadula and Kharbi villages.
Taking the entire Nagpur district into consideration, the power consumption is going to increase in future due to Mihan project, Besa water supply project  and local consumers’ need in the area.  Keeping in view the effective power-consumption management in future, two transformers of 10 MV capacity each, will be installed in addition to aforesaid sanctioned sub-stations.
As Kharbi has been included in the development plan of  Nagpur Rural II division under Nagpur Municipal Corporation, the power consumption in that area is increasing due to large scale developmental works. At present the power supply line of this area is under heavy load. This load will be minimized by installation of 33 KV sub-station with additional 5 MV transformer.
Under Rs 300 cores worth of development works including evelopment of A-class tourism centre, proposed training centre of WCL, Multi-speciality Hosiptal and other projects in hand, Mahadula will be equipped with a 10 MV additional transformer in existing 33 KV sub-station. It will help to fulfill the demand of power supply to Koradi, Mahadula and adjacent areas. A new installation of 5 MV transformer at 33 KV sub-station will cater to the need of incessant power supply to Koradi Devi Mandir area.
All the proposed power sub-station will provide boost to faster development of Nagpur district. At the behest of Nagpur Guardian Minister Mr Bawankule, the Mahavitaran Company has sanctioned an increased budgetary provision of Rs 3107.48 lakhs.
