Servant decamps with Rs 1 lakh from employer’s house in Jaripatka

Nagpur: A middle aged man, native of Madhya Pradesh, decamped with Rs 1 lakh in cash from his employer’s house on September 21. The employer who had gone to Raipur came to know about the theft when he returned to city.

The accused Vikramsingh Sisodhiya (50), resident of Pipla, District Sihar (MP), was working as servant at the house of Rajesh Nainkumar Pokhal (61), Plot No. 84, Small Industrial Area, Nari Road, Jaripatka. On September 21, Rajesh went to Raipur for some work leaving the accused Vikramsingh alone in the house. Taking advantage of the situation, Vikramsingh laid his hands over Rs 1 lakh cash kept in an almirah. He later handed over the key of the house to a neighbour and made good his escape. Rajesh Pokhal came to know about the theft on his return to city. He immediately lodged a complaint with Jaripatka police.

PSI S R Mishra has booked the accused Vikramsingh Sisodhiya under Section 381 and launched a search to nab him.
