New Delhi: Vinay Sharma, one of the convicts sentenced to death for the rape and murder of a 23-year-old physiotherapy student on a moving bus in Delhi in December 2012, has attempted suicide in Tihar jail.
Sharma has been admitted to a hospital. Sharma had last year demanded extra security for himself in jail, claiming that he was physically assaulted by other inmates and police officials at Tihar jail.
