Nagpur/Latur: Our helicopter did meet with an accident in Latur but me and my team is absolutely safe and ok.

It is learnt that when the C.M. was in Latur to meet with some farmers’ on their issues ( to participate in ‘Shramdan’ according to one source) there was malfunction in his helicopter and it crash landed when the helicopter was trying to bring it down after defect was detected.
Helicopter took off at 12 noon from Nilanga helipad in Latur. The moment it took off the pilot detected a disturbing/ variable wind pattern and he decided he land back; but when it tried landing it got entangled in some wires and crash landed.
It is a miracle that everyone survived because the chopper is badly damaged.
Some source say the Helicopter was 22 years old, other reports say it was 3 years old only. It was of Russian make.
Apart from the C.M., Parveen Pardesi, a Media advisor, another official and 2 pilots were on board.
It is the second time in a short span that the C.M.s chopper has developed a snag and malfunctioned.
With the blessings of people of Maharashtra and Nation, I’m safe.
