Bengalis too have played a vital role in the progress of the state and the nation: Bawankule

Nagpur: The members of almost all communities have contributed to national, state and city contribution. The members of Bengali community too have contributed significantly towards the progress and development of the city, state and the nation, claimed Guardian Minister, Minister of New and Renewable Energy and Minister of State Excise Chandrashekhar Bawankule.

After inaugurating the 108th Shri Durga Puja Exhibition, he was addressing the gathering of devotees, students and staff of all the three educational institutions run under the aegis of Bengali Education Society including the Dinanath High School and Junior College. Bawankule said that he is happy to come to worship the Goddess who is the protector of 120 crore Indian population.

He claimed that he is happy to notice that all the students actively participate in the religious programme with the same zeal as other cultural activities and programmes.

Bawankule added that He is an active in the service of Goddess Kali and he serves the Goddess in Koradi Temple of Goddess Kali. He went on to claim that he used to study under the light of the temple of Goddess Kali and have come so far. He claimed that he has the blessings of Goddess Kali in all the social service he renders.

Bawankule claimed that the students who have studied from Dinanath High School and Junior College have reached new heights and got into good positions in corporate and private companies. He added that Bengalis have also contributed richly towards the cultural ethos of the city.

Earlier Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule inaugurated the 108th Shri Durga Puja Exhibition. He then went on pay obeisance to Goddess Durga. He was accompanied by Joint Secretary of Bengali Education Society and President of Bengali Association Pradeep Moitra, President of Bengali Education Society Tapan Chakraborthy and Secretary of Bengali Education Society Pradeep Ganguli. A School Magazine was also released during the programme.

While addressing the gathering, President of Bengali Education Society Tapan Chakraborthy said that it is an eye-opening that we have heralded Goddess Durga Puja at the right time. Goddess Durga is a symbol of eco-system. She is also the symbol of Agro-system. She had conveyed the concept of agro-economy. In fact by chasing the Mahishasura (demon king of Buffalo), she is chasing away the predator.

He claimed that he is happy that Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule is also the Minister of New and Renewable Energy. He claimed that we can and are exploring newer means of energy life wind energy, nuclear energy and other sources which does not leave the carbon footprints on our environment.
