    Rs 4.30 lakh cash stolen from house in Wathoda

    Nagpur: A cash amount of 4.30 lakh was stolen from a house in Wathoda police station area, police said.

    According to police, the theft took place between December 13 and 18. Unidentified thief decamped with the cash kept in a steel box at the house of Naresh Ramchandra Chakole (40), a resident of Plot No 3, Om Nagar. The theft came to fore on December 18, police said.

    An offence under Sections 454, 457 and 380 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Wathoda Police. In yet another case, unidentified thief stolen gold ornaments and cash collectivelly worth Rs 1.17 lakh from a house in Kalamna area.

    According to police, Shubham Gulabrao Bokde (25), a resident of Annapurna Nagar, had gone somewhere on Friday afternoon and his mother was sleeping at the home. The thief entered in the house and walked away with gold ornaments, police said. An offence under Section 380 of IPC was registered by police.
