    Property Offences: Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh warns miscreants selling non-NA plots of stern action

    HM hears grievances of 75 victims in property related offences

    Nagpur: Taking cognizance in the property frauds involving miscreants selling non-NA plots to gullible citizens, the Maharashtra Home Minister, Anil Deshmukh has issued stern warning and directed District Administration to take necessary steps to curb such irregularities here, on Monday.

    The Home Minister was hearing first of it’s kind grievances redressal camp at the Police Gymkhana. Deshmukh was accompanied by Commissioner of Police, Amitesh Kumar at the dais. All the senior officials of Nagpur Police and District Administration representatives were present on this occasion. The officials interacted with 75 victims of economic offences, land mafia and goons.

    Interacting with the Home Minister, the complainants discussed their grievances — mostly related to the property offences — to which Deshmukh directed respective Deputy Commissioner of Police to take necessary cognisance in the matter. DCP, Economic Offence Wing, Vivek Masal has been appointed as nodal officer.

     

    Deshmukh sought immediate explanations from administration and directed them of quick response on the grievances of the victims on this occasion.

    Back in September,2020, the Minister had stated that he had been getting complaints about white collar crimes especially property related offences following which the decision to address the issue was taken through ‘Vishesh Takrar Nibaran Shibir’. Another lot of victims, will follow the suit and will get to meet the minister in the same set up in the coming days.
