    Promising govt job, fraudsters dupe man of Rs 7.50 lakh

    Nagpur: A man was duped by four persons to the tune of Rs 7.50 lakh on pretext of providing him Government job, Dhantoli Police said.

    The accused have been identified as Anand Keshavrao Wankhede, Swapnil alias Pintu Anand Wankhede, both residents of Hudkeshwar; Ravishankar Kasade alias Deshmukh (28), a resident of Udri village in Kuhi tehsil and Digambar Thakre, an Agriculture officer, a resident of Salekasa, Gondia.

    According to police, the accused promised class IV job in Mahabeej to the complainant Yogesh Prakash Tarale (30), a resident of Plot No 33,Vasant Nagar, Old Babulkheda, and accepted Rs 8.50 lakh from him in January 2018.

    When the complainant did not receive any offer letter, he realised the fraud and asked the accused to return the money. But, the fraudsters returned only Rs one lakh to the complainant in September 2019.

    A case under Sections 420, 468, 469, 471, 506 and 34 of Indian Penal Code was registered by Dhantoli Police against the accused. Further investigation is on
