Nagpur: The Old Family Court which was housed next to the Dagdi Building in the District Court premises is finally going to be razed to the ground soon. The Family Court has since been shifted to Suyog Court Building adjacent to General Post Office. The Family Court has already started functioning here.
This Family Court Building existed from the last two decades from 1997. Many families with conflicts require a legal resolution and when they are not resolved by mutual dialogues and discussions there are no way but to take the matter to court. The Family Court plays a vital role in resolving family issues, try and reconcile husband and wives to live a conjugal life.
Principal Judge Justice Meera Khadatkar was the first Judge of the Family Court. Presently Justice Meera Khadatkar is the President of Adivakta Parishad. Many citizens with marital discord had got justice from this Court.
