    Miscreants abduct senior citizen in Hingna, forced him step back from contesting Gram Panchayat elections

    Nagpur: Hingna police have booked a group of miscreants for allegedly abducting a 75-year-old man on Monday. The accused identified as Balya Bawane, Deepak Karva, Purushottam Sonone, all residents of Chandrapur Redi Peth, Nagpur and Manohar Yelekar, a resident of Dhamna, Nagpur held captive victim Rambhau Sarvelal Pawar, a resident of Chandrapur Redi Peth to force him to return his nomination, from contesting upcoming Gram Panchayat elections.

    In his complaint, Pawar informed Hingna police that the accused had abducted him at around 10 am on Monday and tortured him to return his nomination form. Accused held him captive till 1 pm and released him, only when agreed to their terms, he said in complaint.

    Based on the complaint lodged by the complainant, Hingna cops have booked all the accused under Sections 363, 171,34 of the IPC and started the probe.
