    Duplicate key makers sweep away ₹90,000 booty in Lakadganj

    Nagpur: Two key makers left a middle aged man poorer by ₹90,000 by stealing his jewellery from an almirah on Wednesday afternoon. Interestingly, the complainant, Sunil Komchand Parabhar, a resident of Bhaurao Nagar under Lakadganj police had called-in the accused duo to make a duplicate key of the entry gate.

    In his complaint, Sunil informed Lakadganj cops that, there was some issue with his front gate. Following which he had called two key makers in this regards. The accused arrived at around 3 pm on Wednesday. They first tried their keys on the gate but failed to open the lock. Later, they requested Sunil to check their master key on one of his almirah. During the same, one of the accused swiftly stole gold ornaments worth ₹90,000 alleged Sunil in his complaint.

    The duo promised to return within couple of hours with key, but never returned. On checking the almirah we discovered gold booty worth ₹90,000 missing, said Sunil.

    Following his complaint, cops have registered an offence of theft and started the probe.
