Many citizens said that since the city is facing water crisis, Holi should be celebrated only with Gulal.

Similarly, drunken driving during Holi, triple seat riding should be dealt with sternly. Police patrolling should be increased at slums, secluded places to prevent crimes. Strict action should be taken against those spreading rumours on social media such as Whatsapp and Facebook so that communal harmony is not disturbed during the festivals.

He also directed the police station officials and personnel to investigate any untoward incident reported by citizens to Control Room.
