    Burglars decamp with booty worth 4.65 lakh in Mankapur

    Nagpur: Some unidentified burglars broke into a house under the jurisdiction of Mankapur police station, when the family was out between December 31, 2020 and January 4, this year and decamp cash and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 4.65 lakh.

    In his complaint, a 40-year-old Maqsood Mansur Nimachwala, resident of Wat layout, Asim Villa, near Pethe Motors had informed Mankapur police that between December 31 and January 4, he along with his family members had gone to Aurangabad. During the same, some unidentified miscreants reportedly broke into the house and decamped with booty worth Rs 4.65 lakh.

    The matter came to fore on the morning of January 4, when Nimachwala family members returned home only to find the latch of the main door open and their house in ransacked state.

    Following which, Maqsood approached Mankapur police station and filed a complaint.

    Based on the complaint, Mankapur cops have registered a case under Sections 454,457,380 of the IPC. Further probe is underway.
