    Booty worth Rs 7.73 lakh stolen from two houses in Sakkardara, Beltarodi

    Nagpur: Unidentified miscreants struck at a house in Sakkardara police area and decamped with cash and gold jewellery collectively valued at Rs 6.77 lakh in the intervening night of Sunday and Monday.

    The victim, Minakshi Deepak Khasale (60), a resident of Raghuji Nagar, told police that she had gone with her family to Warud, Amravati after locking her home. Taking the opportunity, unidentified burglars entered into her home and stole jewellery worth Rs 6.62 and cash 5000.

    Sakkardara PSI Pravin Dhade, based on the victim’s complaint, registered a case against unidentified burglars under the sections 454, 457, 380 of the Indian Penal Code.

    In a similar case, between 11 am and 6 pm on Monday, unidentified burglars broke into the house of complainant Dhansingh Fagunath Chavhan (49), a resident of Jain Society, Shyam Nagar. Chavhan and his family were at Ranjana Celebration Hall, Suyog Nagar for their daughter’s marriage.

    In the meantime, unidentified burglars broke open the lock of the main door of his home. They entered his bedroom and stole gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 96,000. Upon learning about the incident, Chavhan registered a complaint at Beltarodi police station. Assistant Sub Inspector Savaithul has initiated investigations into the case.
