    5 booked for duping man of Rs 9.5 lakh in Beltarodi

    Nagpur: Beltarodi police have booked five fraudsters for duping a man to the tune of Rs 9.50 lakh on pretext of providing him job in Power Grid Corporation, police said.

    The accused have been identified as Akshay Ashok Agrawal (30), a resident of Rachit Apartment; YVS Shamsundar, Himanshi Bhagwanji, Naina Chelwani and Gaurav Kshirsagar.

    According to police, the accused had given a bogus advertisement in the newspapers about vacancies in PowerGrid in April 2018 and accepted Rs 9.50 lakh from the complainant for the same.

    After not getting any appointment letter, complainant Nikhil Mahendra Sahare (24), a resident of Plot No. 389, Bhim Nagar, Khaparkheda, approached the police and lodged a complaint. A case under Sections 420, 406 and 34 of Indian Penal Code (IPC) was registered by Beltarodi police.
