Nagpur: A 24-year old youth raped a 10-year old girl after inviting her to his house for a meal. The heinous incident occurred in Hudkeshwar area of the city on Tuesday. The accused rapist has been arrested.
According to police, the accused has been identified as Satish Bhanudas Ramteke (24), resident of Hudkeshwar area. The accused Satish, to accomplish his evil design, first called the neighbouring 10-year old girl to his house for a meal around 2.30 pm on Tuesday. However, when the girl was returning to her home after having the meal, the accused Satish stopped her. After bolting the door, Satish first indulged in obscene acts and then raped the 10-year old girl. The rape came to the notice of girl’s parents when the devastated girl returned to her home.
Hudkeshwar API Patil, on the basis of a complaint, registered an offence under Section 376(2)(I) of the IPC and Sub-Sections 4, 6, 8 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act against the accused Satish Bhanudas Ramteke and arrested him.
