Woman watching Marbat procession relieved of valuables of Rs 1 lakh

A woman standing to watch the Marbat procession was relieved of her valuables including gold ornaments and cash collectively worth Rs 1 lakh. The case was registered by Kotwali police station.

According to information, Swati Swapnil Pusadkar (26), a resident of Mahal, had gone to Mahal with her cousin mother-in-law Sneha Pusadkar and sister-in-law Priyanka Pusadkar for shopping. Meanwhile, there was a Marbat procession being taken out on the occasion of Pola, thus, swati stopped by to watch the procession. Some unidentified thieves took advantage of the situation and stole the gold ornaments and cash Rs 2500 kept in her bag. The theft came to notice when swati noticed the open chain of her bag. On searching, she found the valuables missing.
Swati lodged a complaint with Kotwali police after which a case under Section 379 was registered by cops.
