Nagpur: A 30 year old woman has tried to end her life after she consumed poison at her residence. Her husband is blaming their neighbour’s 26-year-old son, Saurabh Dhole, for harassing her and forcing her to take the drastic step. The woman was teaching at a school and has reportedly resigned last week only.

Police said Dholes and the woman teacher’s family had a cordial bonding. The family members also used to visit each other’s place frequently. The relation between the neighbours turned sour after there was a development between the woman and Dhole.

Sources at Sakkardara police station said that Dhole has claimed before the cops that there was a bonding between him and the neighbour’s wife which got exposed, much to the discomfort of the woman’s husband, who has now reported the matter before police. The husband has blamed Dhole for stalking his wife and sending messages on her cell phone. Irked by the relentless harassment, the survivor may have consumed pesticides, alleged the husband. She was rushed to a private hospital and is learnt to be on ventilator.

The woman and her husband, married more than a decade ago, have a seven-year-old son. The husband works as a manager at a private firm at MIDC.

Sakkardara police, having already slapped a case of sexual harassment against Dhole, picked him up. A senior officer from Sakkardara police station said that Dhole is being interrogated.
