Woman robbed of jewellery worth Rs 2.61 lakh in Sewagram Express

A young woman was robbed of gold-silver jewellery worth Rs 2.61 lakh while travelling in Sewagram Express from Jalgaon to Nagpur.

Reena Shriraj Sonwane (32), resident of Qtr No. 34, NIT Guest House, Bajaj Nagar, along with her family boarded Sewagram Express at Jalgaon at 9.30 pm on April 24. The train reached Nagpur around 6.15 am the next day. After reaching Nagpur, Reena called an Ola cab and reached home. At home, she noticed chain of her bag open. She immediately checked the bag and to her dismay found gold and silver ornaments worth Rs 2.61 lakh missing.

Bajaj Nagar API Landge, acting on Reena’s complaint, has registered a case under Section 380 of the IPC against the unidentified burglar(s) and mounted a search to nab them with the help of railway police.
