Nagpur: A woman who left home for Diwali shopping was robbed of cash and gold ornaments collectively worth Rs 1.84 lakh on Monday afternoon.
Ashwini Raja Kamble (36), resident of Plot No. 51, Telephone Nagar, Dighori-Narsala Road, hired e-rickshaw for going to Badkas Square around 1.30 pm on Monday. After reaching Badkas Square, Ashwini checked her bag but was shocked to find her purse containing cash Rs 5000 and gold ornaments worth Rs 1.79 lakh was missing. An unidentified miscreant pilfered Ashwini’s purse either in e-rickshaw or at the crowded Badkas Square.
Kotwali police constable Divakar registered a case against the unidentified burglar under Section 379 of the IPC and searching for him or her.
