Winter session will be of three weeks

Nagpur: The Winter Session of State Legislature is starting from December 7 in Nagpur. This time, session will run for three weeks and programme fromDecember 7 to 23 has been finalised. Condolence motions will be tabled on first day.

The session will start from Monday, December 7. Legislature Secretariat has finalised programme up to December 23. On first day, condolence motions will be tabled in both Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly. OnDecember, notifications will be put before both houses. Supplementary demands for the year 2015-16 will also be tabled.

Government bills and proposal of ruling party will be tabled. On December 9, along with government bills, proposals of opposition will be tabled. Non-government motions will be tabled onDecember 11. There would be holidays on December 12 and 13. The second session will start fromDecember 14. On this day, discussion on supplementary demands will be held.

The discussion on supplementary demands will conclude on December 15 and motion of ruling party will be presented. OnDecember 16, discussions on various corporations will be held while outgoing members will be given farewell.

On December 17, government bills and opposition party’s resolution will be presented. OnDecember 18, working on government bills and non-governmental affairs will be held. There would be no meeting on December 19. December 20 will be holiday. The third week of winter session will start from December 21.

On this day, government bills will be tabled. Final week resolution will be tabled on December 22 and again official bills will be tabled onDecember 23.
