Vikash Khurana’s witty “Dekho Magar Pyar Se” set to hit stage on August 30 & 31 in Nagpur

fdsNagpur News: Nagpur’s theater lovers are set to go hilarious and experience laugh-riot on August 30 and 31 when Stagecraft Theater will stage “Dekho Magar Pyar Se” play at the IMA’s JR Shaw Auditorium, North Ambazari Road, Nagpur from 7 pm. The play is the Production No. 57 of award winning actor-writer-director-producer Vikash Khurana. It is a naughty, knotty, rip-roaring, side-splitting, laugh riot in Hindi. The duration of “Dekho Magar Pyar Se” is of 2 hours with interval but the two hours would be stretched to many hours as spectators would continue to burst in laughter even after the end of the play.

“Dekho Magar Pyar Se” is set in the office of an exclusive and reputable jewelry store, where its not so reputable owner is trying to secure the affections of his would be mistress by ‘selling’ her husband an expensive diamond necklace at a throwaway price. But the husband does a volte-face, by seizing the opportunity as a perfect occasion to gift the necklace to his own mistress!! From here on the complications multiply uproariously. Mistaken identities, suspicious wives, and a continuous barrage of rapid fire jokes, all become part of the hilarious doing, as the action of the play bubbles along merrily right up to the final curtain, when miraculously everything manages to work out as planned. Or does it?

The cast of “Dekho Magar Pyar Se” includes a mix of Stagecraft stalwarts as well as first timers sharing stage space together. They are Lalit Khullar, Tauby Bhagwagar, N. V. Sharma, Sonal RJ Rocky, Shweta BI-langale-Esadhe, Shantanu Thengdi, Shruti Tandon, Anamika Sawarkar, Raunak Madne, and Priyanka Nalwale.

“Dekho Magar Pyar Se” has been directed by first time director and the well-known face on cable television, N.V. Sharma. He has been actively involved with theater for the last 30 years and has acted and directed several plays in various languages. He has been associated with Stagecraft Theater for the past 8 years and played stellar roles in many productions. Other credits include, Sound Design-Rachit Khetan, Priyadarsh Bhabda; Lights-Onkar Ghare, Nandan Majumdar; Design-Varun Vij; Production-Aryan Acharya; Stage Management-Anamika Sawarkar; Backstage-Sayli Rao, Sudeshna Chatterjee; Creative Support-Anurag Kulkarni, Swati Sani; Technical Support-Sandeep Baraskar, Vishal Yadav.

Tickets will be available at the Tauby’s outlets in Sadar, Ramdaspeth, Ram Nagar, Law College square, Hingna T-point and Wardhaman Nagar square, and also at Radio Mirchi. Tickets will also be available at the venue from 11 am on August 30.
