Nagpur: A man has attacked his sister in law in an attempt to kill her at Jhenda Square here on Friday. The accused Siddharth Jotiram Awle was furious as she rejected his marriage proposal. In a fit of rage he attacked his sister-in-law Vandana Dadarao Kawre with a cleaver or chopper on the rear of her head. The alert onlookers later tried to save the victim and hit the accused with stones and apprehended him. The accused was later handed over to the cops of Mankapur Police Station.
During initial questioning, it came to fore that the accused Sidharth Awre had been stalking his sister-in-law Vandana Aware and has been pressurizing her to marry him. However, Vandana had refused to marry him.
