Use modern techniques for building affordable houses: CM

Nagpur: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis has instructed planning of 4000 affordable house under houses for all scheme on top priority with help of modern techniques so that the houses are completed with a year.

He was addressing a special meeting regarding the pending problems of Nagpur Muinicipal Corporation (NMC), held at Ramgiri in Nagpur. In this meeting he also reviewed the planning of smart city and development basic facility.

Present for the meeting were Energy Minister and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLAs Krishna Khopade, Sudhakar Deshmukh, Vikas Kumbhare Sudhakar Kohale, Dr Milind Mane, Deputy Mayor Deepraj Pardikar, Ruling party leader Sandip Joshi, Additional Chief Secretary Pravin Pardeshi, Town Development Division Chief Secretary Manisha Mahiskar, Chief Secretary Nitin Karir, Municipal Commissioner Ashwin Mudgal, District Collector Sachin Kurvey and other officials.

Chief Minister further said waste management, drinking water, roads along with the all round development of city should be planned from the point of view of smart city. Total 4000 affordable house should be constructed in 38 places with the help of modern techniques within one and a half year. While acquiring the land for the house special attention should be given to the roads other facilities.

Fadnavis also instructed to expedite the pending works at government end of like Ambedkar Bhavan and Research Centre, Orange market at Sitabuldi, changes in the development plan of land in Dhantoli, changes in the rules of sanctioned development Control of city similarly Bidipeth, Jaripataka, Binaki Housing Scheme, Sports ground on open land in Borgaon, Dunping yard at Bhandewadi, be cleared in a month.

The funds for the supplying water to NMC from the Pench dam by irrigation department should be waived off and the open space in Somalwada should be acquired. He also instructed for development of Ambazari tank and asked to develop Ambazari as a tourist spot and provide all facilities on 44 acres of land.

He discussed about other works like led lamps for smart city, Suresh Bhatt Hall, city buses traffic, bus sheds, park land etc.

While reviewing the Ownership pattas to the slum dwellers like Indiranagar, he said that the corporators of that particular area should taken into confidence and pattas be distributed immediately. Praising Nagpur District Collector’s office he said that it have done excellent in work in the state in distribution of pattas under Zudpi jungles which should be followed at other place too.

At the outset of the meeting Municipal Commissioner Ashwin Mudgal informed about Gharkul scheme under affordable housing scheme coming up under smart city. The Guardian Minister and people’s representatives gave various instructions for development projects. Town Development Division Chief Secretary Manisha Mahiskar and Chief Secretary Nitin Karir said that the proposal pending at government well will be cleared soon.
