Truck driver pilfers Haldiram’s material worth over Rs 11 lakh

dfsdfNagpur: Haldiram’s, the major sweets and snacks manufacturer based in Nagpur, was cheated to the tune of over Rs 11 lakh when a truck driver pilfered the company’s material loaded for taking to Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Cops are now searching to trace the accused truck driver and the material.

The Haldiram’s loaded the material in the Tata 1109 truck (MH-40/AK 996) from its Kapsi factory around 7.30 pm on 28.2.15. The truck was booked through Bharat Freight Carrier Transport located at Block E, Wardhaman Nagar, and the accused truck driver Raju Bhimrao Actowar was supposed to take the material to Surface Road, Ahmedabad in Gujarat. However, till date, the truck has not reached Ahmedabad. When the accused truck driver Raju was contacted on his mobile phone he did not respond. Later, the mobile phone was found switched off. The accused pilfered the Haldiram’s material worth Rs 11,20,000 and vanished along with the truck. After failing to trace the accused truck driver, the owner of Bharat Freight Carrier Sayyed Razi Raza (39) of Hansapuri, Nagpur, filed a complaint with Lakadganj Police Station in this connection.

Lakadganj PSI Thakur has booked the accused truck driver under Section 406 of IPC and launched a search to trace him and the truck.
