Town Planning Department makes representation on Single Window System permissions

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), in order to remove shortcomings in sanctioning of building constructions, has planned to implement Single Window System in accordance with Development Control Regulation-2000.  NMC’s Estates, Power and Projects Committee has decided to implement the Single Window project to facilitate speedy, transparent and simple arrangement for citizens. Subsequently, the Chairman of the Committee Sandeep Joshi directed the Town Planning Department to make a representation in this connection. The Committee had also appointed a two-member committee comprising Branch Engineer Shrikant Deshpande and Anil Gedam to study other Municipal Corporations. The two-member committee visited Pune, Thane, Surat, Ahmedbad and other cities and observed the system there. Based on the observation, the committee suggested implementation of Single Window System in NMC and development of software for the system. A representation of AutoDCR system was also done at the meeting hall of Standing Committee on Tuesday. The representation focused on submission of maps online, preparation of automatic demand notes and dispatch to applicants online, computerized scrutiny of automatic building maps and preparation of building permission, online status of submitted plans, and other aspects.
