Three including married couple arrested for robbing elderly woman from Chandrapur

Hudkeshwar police have arrested three people who robbed an elderly woman hailing from Chandrapur. The victim arrived here to get the medical treatment for her granddaughter. Among the arrested accused, two were woman. It also included a husband and wife.

Police sources said Anjanabai Dhote, 71. resident of Chimur in Chandrapur district reached Nagpur to get his granddaughter Kaveri treated. Meanwhile, she lost her way and landed near Saket Nagari bus stop on Beltarodi road under Hudkeshwar area. While she was trying to get the right way, she approached the accused Shraddha Milind Khandale, 23, Saket Nagari, Manisha Anil Khobragade, 32 and Anil Murlidhar Khobragade, 40 resident of Rameshwari Ring road, to confirm the address. All the three who were passing through the road at that time.

Sensing that Anjanbai is from outside, the three immediately turned to nasty plan and snatched away Rs 6,000 and gold ornaments from her possession and fled the scene.

Finding the aggrieved Anjanabai along with her granddaughter, some people helped her find her way to police station. As the police got the information, they immediately swung into action and rounded off all the three accused. Two of them have been identified as husband and wife. Hudkeshwar police are investigating the matter.
