Nagpur:
Kalamna police have registered a case of fraud against a doctor couple and one more person in connection with lending false job promise to a young girl from Yavatmal. The accused doctor R.S. Gawai, Gyaneshwar Aatilkar and Pushpa Gyaneshwar Aatilkar have been booked under section 420, 506, 34 of IPC and initiated the investigation in this regard.

Police sources said Sujata Dhanraj Bhagat, 27, resident of Deolgaon Valsapeth Khopardi in Darvaha taluka of Yawatmal district was lured in the job promise in 2014. Then Dr Gawai along the Aatilkar couple demanded Rs 6 lakh from Sujata in lieu of getting her job at City Hospital at old Pardi naka square. They also handed her fake appointment letter and took Rs 95,000 from her.

However all the accused backed off on their promise and even threatened Sujata to kill her, if she inquired for the same again. As all her requests went on deaf ears, Sujata eventually approached at Kalamna police station. Sub-inspector K.D. Kokane has filed the case on Sujata’s complaint and started the investigation.
