The State Government’s Health Department in cooperation with ‘BVG India Limited’ has launched a ‘Dial 108’ Ambulance Service under Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services.

Nagpur: A phone number has emerged as life saver for hundreds of persons who faced medical emergency on a day or another. The number is 108. The State Government’s Health Department in cooperation with ‘BVG India Limited’ has launched a ‘Dial 108’ Ambulance Service under Maharashtra Emergency Medical Services. And the ‘Dial 108’ proved to be a messiah on the streets for the distressed and life saver, too. Till date, 998 persons who suffered cardiac arrests were blessed with second life by the timely help rendered by ‘Dial 108’ Ambulance that responded to the distress calls swiftly.

The ‘Dial 108’ ambulances are equipped with ‘advanced life support’ and ‘basic life support.’ The responsibility of running the life-saving ambulances lies with the leading company ‘BVG India Limited.’ The Main Service Centre and Response Centre of the sophisticated ambulance is at Aundh Hospital in Pune. The ‘Dial 108’ ambulances have proved their worth by serving around 5,93,356 patients in emergency situations across the State from January 26, 2014 to December 31, 2015. If a needy person dials 108, the well-equipped ambulance with doctors onboard arrive at the doorstep of the caller. The ambulance can be called for a slew of medical emergencies including heart complications, paralysis, poisoning, burn injuries, etc.
