Nagpur: A teenage girl, originally hailing from Chandrapur, committed suicide mysteriously in her North Ambazari Road residence here on Wednesday afternoon. The reason behind the girl taking the extreme step could not be ascertained immediately. Cops have launched a thorough investigation into the case.
The deceased has been identified as Nikita Nagesh Singh (17), resident of Ratnaparkhi Sadan, North Ambazari Road, Nagpur. Nikita was originally staying at Qr No 26, Ultratech Cement, Avarpur, District Chandrapur. On Wednesday, between 2.30 pm and 3 pm, Nikita ended her life by hanging to ceiling fan of her room with the help of an ‘odhni.’
Sitabuldi PSI Nagre, on the basis of information given by Amit Suresh Ratnaparkhi (41), has registered a case of accidental death and mounted an in-depth probe to determine the reason behind Nikita’s suicide.
