Nagpur: Nagpur District Senior Karate Championship was held on 6 December at Krida Sankul Indoor Stadium, Mankapur, Nagpur under the guidance of of Shihan Zakir S Khan, Shihan Sanjay Ingole, Shihan Rajan Pillay and Sensei Devendra Gowardhan. Near about 75 Players Boys and Girls across the Nagpur District participated. All the Participants came from MITSUYA-KAI Hayashi-ha Shito-Ryu Karate-Do, India, National Shotokan Karate Association India and Traditional International Shotokan Karate Association and Japan Shotokan Kanninjuku Karate organization, these are affiliated with Karate Association of India Recognized by Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Govt. of India & Indian Olympic Association (I.O.A.) and Karate Maharashtra Sports Association, Mumbai.
Total 11 Karatekas boys and girls have been selected from Nagpur District Senior Karate Team to participate in Maharashtra State Senior Karate Championship organised by Karate Maharashtra Sports Association, Mumbai to held from 16 and 17 December at Andheri Sports Complex, Andheri
Those players will placed in Maharashtra State Tournament they will represent the state of Maharashtra for the upcoming championship “KAI SENIOR NATIONAL KARATE CHAMPIONSHIP-2017” to be held in Kolkata, West Bengal from 25 and 26 February to 26 th February ,2018. The Tournament will take place as per new WKF rules.
