Nagpur: The Flying Squad of State Excise Department raided the illegal breweries in different areas coming under jurisdictions of Gittikhadan, Ajni and rural police stations and seized huge quantity of country liquor worth Rs 2.53 lakh.
The raids were conducted by State Excise Inspectors P V Gotmare, D S Janrao, A S Mithari, Deputy Inspectors A S Khare, Ashok Kaikade, Madhukar Mate, D P Varthi, Armarkar, Assistant Inspectors Prashant Yerpude, Raju Thombre and other personnel under the directives of Deputy Commissioner Usha Verma and Superintendent M B Patwardhan.
Offences were registered under various sections of Maharashtra Prohibition Act and investigations launched.
