State Budget is Farmer Centric to make them Debt Free – CA. Shailendra Jain

: For the first time the Government has taken step to strengthen the Judiciary & Welfare of the state by skill development. GST is destination based tax which will adversely affect our state revenue is initial years. Budget is farmer centric and government is planning to make all the farmers debt free rather than debt waiver, Said CA. Shailendra Jain while speaking as the speaker at the Half Day Seminar on State Budget organized by Nagpur Branch of ICAI. He has also explained the changes in the tax provision along with the various other aspects.

Regional Council Member CA.AbhijitKelkar explained in details various economic aspects of the economic status of the state. He said that 50% of the population is dependent on agriculture, however their share in GDP of the state is 11% only. The budget is agro centric and if things go well it will result in overall development of agriculture in particular and state in general. He also louded efforts of government for success of Jalyukta Shivar and advancement towards digitization.

Earlier Chairman of Nagpur Branch of ICAI CA. Sandeep Jotwani, in his welcome address mentioned that this budget mainly concentrates on the majority of the population of the state which will definitely impact the other sectors as well. Due to good rainfall this step of Government is absolutely correct which will prove to be beneficial. Waiver of agricultural loan is not the solution to the problem but to deal with it considering its impact in long run.
