Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis commenced the Shobhayatra from Ram Mandir by lifting the Palanquin till the main gate of the Temple Premises on March 28, 2015 in West Nagpur.
MLA from West Nagpur Sudhakar Deshmukh, Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule, MLC Prakash Gajbhiye, Corporator Varsha Thakre, Shrikant Deshpande, MNS Leader Prashant Pawar accompanied Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis as he carried the palanquin till the main gate situated at Ram Nagar Square.
The atmosphere near the ram temple reverberated with dozens of drum-beating bands and kids attired in the Ramayana Characters. Several tableaus depicted the events of Ramayana in a colourful, well-lit and attractive way.
With this commencement, the Shobhayatra will criss-cross many areas in and around Ram Nagar.
A sea of people welcomed the shobhayatra at every junction with Prasad and Garlands.
