A shop-owner lodged a complaint against another shop-owner suspecting him to have stolen electrical material worth Rs 4.19 lakh from his shop. The case is lodged at Sitabuldi police station.
The complaint states that the complainant, Ramniwas Jagannath Agrawal, aged 75 and a resident of Tekdi Road closed his electrical shop situated in Sitabuldi Main Road on March 22 for a few days. He reopened the shop on April 13 but was shocked to discover that electrical material worth Rs 4.19 lakh had been stolen from the shop. Jagannath lodged a complaint with Sitabuldi police and expressed his suspicion on another shop owner Chavan to have stolen the material.
Cops have booked Chavan after registering a case under Sections 454, 457, and 380 of the IPC. Further investigations are in progress.
