In a heart-rending incident, a 4 year old girl lost her life in a bizarre manner when she slipped from staircase and fell on ground. Before falling to death, the kid had shouted “snake, snake” in scary voice and had rushed to the staircase. The tragedy was reported from Rajiv Nagar in MIDC area.
The four-year old girl Sakshi, daughter of Ramesh Dashariya, resident of Plot No. 64, Rajiv Nagar, Hingna Road, was playing in her first floor house. Suddenly, Sakshi started shouting “snake, snake” and rushed to the staircase. Sakshi was descending without watching the steps. (It could not be ascertained whether Sakshi really spotted snake in her house or it was just a prank). As a result she lost balance and slipped. She fell on the ground with a thud and received critical injuries. Sakshi was immediately taken to Lata Mangeshkar Hospital where doctors pronounced her ‘brought dead.’
MIDC PSI API Shiurkar, based on information given by Ramesh Jaichand Dashariya, has registered a case of accidental death and probing the matter thoroughly and from all angles.
