Nagpur: As many as 326 Sahukari debt-ridden farmers of Mauda, Ramtek, Narkhed and Hingna taluks of Nagpur district were relieved of their debt-burden worth Rs 58.24 lakh, informed district collector Sachin Kurve.
He said this while presiding over a meeting of district level committee, held at collectorate here on Sept 2 in the prominent presence of district SP’s representative Ratansingh Yadav, district special auditor (Coop Societies) T N Chavan and district deputy registrar Satish Bhosale.
In this meeting, the cases deserving debts-exemption were tabled and they were sanctioned by grating waiver. Kurve directed the officials concerned to prepare the cases of remaining debt-ridden farmers, who were under debts of licensed Sahukars, and send their cases to taluka level joint registrar for sanctioning.
