Sadar police book three, including a woman, in abetment charges

Sadar police have booked three persons including a woman for abetting suicide of a middle-aged man. The 42-year-old man, Deepak Mukundrao Paindalwar, a resident of Khalasi Line, Shiv Mandir, had committed suicide on July 16 by hanging self to the ceiling with the help of a dupatta. Sadar police had registered a case of accidental death and started their investigations.

It was revealed in the investigation that Deepak was harassed mentally and was provoked to end his life. Deepka’s wife Lata alleged that Sunil Jacob, Jener Raavi Jacob, Aasha Rajendra Waddewar, residents of Jaripatka were relatives of Deepak. The accused Sunil lied to Deepak and Lata that he had transferred Deepak’s house on his name. The couple fell into the trick and believed the lie. Later, Jener and Aasha provoked Deepak to commit suicide by mentally harassing him. Owing to the pressure and mental status, Deepak took the extreme step and quit his life.

Sadar police, on the basis of the complaint by Lata, have booked the three accused under sections 306, and 34 of the IPC.
