Sadar cops rescue 175 cattle in raids at various places in Gaddigodam

In a major action, Sadar police on Saturday raided different places in Gaddigodam area and rescued 175 cattle that were likely to be taken to slaughter houses.

The cops had received a tip off that a number of cattle were to be taken to slaughter houses to meet the demands. Acting swiftly on the input, a team of policemen raided the place and rescued the cattle. The tough action sparked tension in Gaddigodam and nearby area forcing the cops to summon additional forces.

The raiding cops reportedly seized 250 skins of different cattle heads and some quantity of mutton. The In-charge Sadar Police Station Police Inspector Sunil Bonde has confirmed the raid and rescue of cattle.

The action was undertaken on the directives and guidance of DCP Rakesh Ola.
