Nagpur: Throughout his tenure, the only Shiv Sena Party’s Corporator Bandu Talvekar has been all praises for Union Surface Transport Minister Nitin Gadkari and Guardian Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule. However, when he was denied the opportunity to contest from the BJP-Alliance for the post of Chairman from Ashi Nagar NMC Zone, he started making allegations against Ruling Party Leader Dayashankar Tiwari. He alleged that Tiwari had purposefully delayed submission of his form after the scheduled time of submission, which in-turn caused him to be out of the fray.

Talvekar also alleged that the Ruling Party Leader Dayashankar Tiwari had insulted Shiv Sena Supremo Udhav Thackeray and Nagpur City In-Charge of Shiv Sena Party Anil Parab. Talvekar alleged that Dayashankar Tiwari had assured that Nitin Gadkari has recommended his name (Talvekar’s name) for the Chairman’s Post, however, Dayashankar Tiwari wanted Talvekar to arrange talks with Shiv Sena top leaders. Talvekar had arranged talks of Tiwari with Anil Parab. Anil Parab had in-turn spoken to Udhav Thackeray and had finalized this opportunity for Talvekar.

Anil Parab had then conveyed the decision of Shiv Sena to let Talvekar contest for Chairman’s position. After all this talks and fake assurances, Dayashankar Tiwari had purposefully delayed the submission of Talvekar’s form and caused him to be out of the fray. This action of Dayashankar Tiwari was strongly condemned by Talvekar.

This is also a fact that throughout their tenure, BJP had never considered Shiv Sena candidates for any prime positions. None of the prime positions like Deputy Mayor, Standing Committee Chaiman, Zone Chairman were given to Shiv Sena in spite of being in alliance with them.

Reacting to this insult, Talvekar claimed that the next elections will be contested independently by Shiv Sena. Talvekar added that more than 3 dozen former Corporators of various political parties are aligned with them and are ready to contest the next polls under Shiv Sena’s banner.

The three dozen former Corporators have already had a meeting twice with Anil Parabh of Shiv Sena Party. Two meetings were held at Maharaj Bagh Club and one meeting in Mumbai with Anil Parabh.

Bandu Talvekar who has supported BJP for last nine years and conceding to everything that BJP said, now has started making allegations against BJP. He intends to raise all those issues that were raised by Congress Party.

At the same time Talvekar has not done anything significant to promote Shiv Sena in the city. He has always opposed the local Shiv Sena leaders publicly.
