Nagpur: Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University’s senate elections will be held on November 25. The candidates have made all preparations for the Senate, Board of Studies and Academic Council which are being held on the same day. The elections for 29 seats will be held for representatives of Principals, teachers and management. Academic Councils election will be held for 8 seats and Board of Studies election will be for 218 seats.
Addressing a press conference Nagpur University’s Registrar Purnachandra Meshram informed that they have made all the arrangements for the elections and the staff members concerned with the election process have been updated. For this two workshops were held. The elections will be held in the Nagpur University colleges of Nagpur, Bhandara, Gondia Wardha and Jalgaon districts. The voters can cast their vote from 8 am to 4 pm.
Nagpur University has kept 29 voting centres in Nagpur city, 22 in Nagpur district, Bhandara 12,Gondia 9, Wardha 13 and Jalgaon district 1. For these elections university has appointed 239 employees.
