Nagpur: Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) appointed Prof Niraj Khati, Head of the Department(HoD), Chemistry, Priyadarshini College, Nagpur, as new Controller of Examinations (CoE) on August 27 through a selection committee interview process, headed by RTMNU Vice Chancellor Dr Sidharth Vinayak Kane.
The members of the committee included Puran Meshram (registrar), three VCs, namely, Prof N N Maldhar of Solapur University, Prof B A Chopade of Aurangabad University and Dr Pandit Vidyasagar Rao of Nanded University, dean of Law Faculty Dr Anjali Hastak, Management Council members K C Deshmukh and Archana Nerkar.
As many eight candidates were invited for interview to the post of CoE in which two were absent, namely, Arvind Joshi and Gyaneshwar Kadav. Only five faced the interview.
A press conference was arranged in order to inform about University’s 102nd Convocation which is to be held on August 29, 2015 at 11:00 am in Dr Vasantrao Deshpande Hall, which will be presided by VC RTM Nagpur Univesity Dr Sidharth Vinayak Kane while Padma Vibhushan Dr Jyant Naralikar will be the chief guest of the function.
