RTE online registration date extended till Mar 1

Online registration of the schools in the school admission process under the Right to Education (Act) has been extended again till March 1. On the last day of the registration all the schools were not able to register itself online. Due to slow working of the website, only 239 schools could register itself till February 26.

According to the revised schedule February 26 was the last date for registration. However, questions were being raised whether the remaining schools would be registered within the given time frame. But only 239 schools could register itself till February 26.
The first phase of registration had started from Ffebruary 16. However, not even 100 schools could register itself by February 21, due to slow working of the website.

The schools had complained about it and demanded extension of the dates for uploading the information. The education board had allowed the extension of registration date to February 26.

Again the school online registration date have been extended to March 1. A meeting of the education department is scheduled on Friday to discuss the future course of action The admission process under RTE has also been extended from March 2 to March 17.

According to information from Education department, admissions under RTE for 5,500 seats in 339 schools will be conducted. However, guardians of students are raising concern as the admissions in private schools will be completed by the first week of April.
