New Delhi/Nagpur: In yet another setback for business tycoon Vijay Mallya, the Rajya Sabha Ethics Committee on Monday recommended his membership in the Upper House should be terminated.
Chairman of Ethics Committee Karan Singh said, “Ethics Committee meeting reached the conclusion that Vijay Mallya’s RS membership should be cancelled.”
Mallya’s Rajya Sabha membership is expiring in June and the house will take the final call on the recommendation.
Mallya will be served a notice to reply within one week asking why his membership should not be terminated. After his reply, committee will make final recommendation to the house.
